An Atlanta journalism icon, Monica Kaufman Pearson, comes to the Seen from the INside studios to talk about being on-air for 37 years as the former WSB-TV news anchor. Pearson is in the history books as first African–American AND the first woman to become News Anchor in the Atlanta market; an uneasy road that she paved recounting early stories about starting to work in a predominantly white city. Two-time cancer survivor, Pearson expands strongly on finding that passion seed to ignite giving back to community. She is known consistently for her work giving back to the United Way, American Heart Association and many others that she finds time and passion in serving others. Listen to her explain why it is equally important to hone your craft and give back to community.
