Civil Rights activist, former Atlanta Mayor, U.S. Ambassador to the UN – Ambassador Andrew Young has worn many job titles in his lifetime but the one that he wears best is selfless leader. Ambassador Young joins us in the Seen from the INside studios to talk about his life’s work in service, how he used emotional discipline and smart strategy to overcome the odds and get results. He was born in New Orleans and as one of the youngest in his grade and one of the few with lunch money, he made sure to make friends with everyone by buying loaves of bread and bologna meat so everyone could have something to eat during lunch. This type of strategic thinking helped him develop into Dr. Martin Luther King’s right-hand man during the Civil Rights era and Ambassador Young ascended to have President Carter’s ear while developing foreign policies.
